Women are the pillars of Shekinah Assembly of God Church. The team is led by Pastor Glory Adam, a spiritually strong woman who is well respected in the whole community. She is known for her love and compassion towards the poor. 

 

Women are very actively involved in church events and missions. They gather very often as a small prayer groups or individuals in the church to pray for the city and the nation. Women gather in a group of 3 or 4 and they go to the city to speak about Jesus. This small group will reach out to women who need comfort and prayer. Not only that, they organize kid's ministry on the streets, where children are taught about the love of God and cleanliness. Many kids who are playing on the streets will be so excited when the team arrives to do something special for them. 

 

Countless women in the community suffer at the hands of alcoholic husbands. Our church ladies provide help by taking them to hospitals, provide clothing & food and take care of their children. Old age people who are forsaken by their own family are adopted by these loving women and they provide them shelter, food and happy life till their last breath. 

 

Orphans are taken care with special love. They are given shelter, clothing, food, education and even jobs after they graduate with the help of small scale businesses around the city. 

 

Care cells operate in many houses to encourage and support the women who are oppressed and persecuted by their family because of their faith in Jesus. Women fellowship also has hospital visitation team that plants the seed of hope to the hopeless. Over the years, God has done mighty miracles in hospitals that led many to follow Jesus.
